Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating by email) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.

The responsible party for data processing on this website is:
IMT Gesellschaft für industrielle Maschinentechnologie mbH
Managing Directors Mr. Martin Erb, Tobias Erb

If no specific storage period is specified within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate deletion request or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, provided that we have no other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.
General Information on the Legal Basis of Data Processing on this Website

Note on Data Transfer to the USA and Other Third Countries
We use tools from companies based in the USA or other data protection-unsecure third countries. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in these third countries. We would like to point out that no level of data protection comparable to that of the EU can be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are required to disclose personal data to security authorities without the possibility of legal action against this as an affected person. It therefore cannot be ruled out that US authorities (e.g., intelligence agencies) may process, evaluate, and permanently store your data on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke consent already given at any time. The legality of data processing until the revocation remains unaffected.
Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases and to Direct Advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RELEVANT LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT,
WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA, UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ASSERTION, EXERCISE, OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OB JECTION ACCORDING TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH ADVERTISING PURPOSES AT ANY TIME; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING, AS FAR AS IT IS CONNECTED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL THEN NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION ACCORDING TO ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).
Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the member state of their habitual residence, workplace, or location of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive data we process automatically based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract, either to yourself or a third party, in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.
SSL or TLS Encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator. An encrypted connection is indicated by the browser's address line switching from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Information, Deletion, and Correction
You have the right at any time, within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, to receive free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipient, and the purpose of the data processing, and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time for this and other questions on the topic of personal data.
Right to Restrict Processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do this, you can contact us at any time. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for exercising, defending, or asserting legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
If you have filed an objection according to Art. 21 Para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your and our interests. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for protecting the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of significant public interest of the European Union or a member state.
Objection to Advertising Emails
The use of contact data published as part of the legal notice obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.
4. Data Collection on this Website
Cookies
Our internet pages use "cookies." Cookies are small text files and do not damage your device. They are either temporarily stored for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or an automatic deletion is carried out by your web browser.
Cookies from third-party companies can also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or displaying videos). Other cookies are used to analyze user behavior or display advertisements.
Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process, for providing certain functions you desire (e.g., for the shopping cart function), or for optimizing the website (e.g., cookies for measuring web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to store cookies and similar recognition technologies was requested, processing is based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 Para. 1 TTDSG); the consent is revocable at any time.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
If cookies from third-party companies or for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you separately within this privacy policy and, if necessary, request consent.
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of server request IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources.
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – to this end, server log files must be recorded.
Contact Form & Inquiry Forms
If you send us inquiries via contact or other inquiry forms on our website, your information from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.
The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies
(e.g., after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular, retention periods – remain unaffected.
Inquiry by Email, Phone, or Fax
If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your concern. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the
effective processing of inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent is revocable at any time.
The data sent by you to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies
(e.g., after your concern has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular, statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Registration on this Website
You can register on this website to use additional functions on the site. We will only use the data entered for this purpose to use the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject the registration.
For important changes, for example, in the scope of the offer or in the case of technically necessary changes, we use the email address specified during registration to inform you in this way.
The processing of data entered during registration is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of performing the usage relationship established by the registration and, if applicable, to initiate further contracts.
The data collected during registration will be stored by us as long as you are registered on this website and will then be deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Our Own Services
Handling Applicant Data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., by email, post, or via an online application form). The following provides information on the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions, and that your data will be treated confidentially.
Scope and Purpose of Data Collection
If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes from interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation), and – if you have given consent – Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent is revocable at any time. Your personal data will only be shared within our company with persons involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data submitted by you will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG and Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of executing the employment relationship.
Retention Period of Data
If we are unable to make you a job offer, you decline a job offer, or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have transmitted to us based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application).
After that, the data will be deleted and physical application documents will be destroyed. Retention serves particularly as evidence in case of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be needed beyond the 6-month period (e.g., due to a pending or impending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
Extended retention may also occur if you have given consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if legal retention obligations prevent deletion.
Inclusion in the Applicant Pool
If we do not make you a job offer, there may be the possibility of including you in our applicant pool. In the event of inclusion, all documents and information from the application will be transferred to the applicant pool to contact you in case of suitable vacancies.
Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express
consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Submission of consent is voluntary and has no bearing on the ongoing application process. The affected person may revoke consent at any time. In this case, the data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted, provided that there are no legal retention reasons.
The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted at the latest two years after consent is given.
